The overwhelming response to the Clean and Green Drive which had been launched in preparation for the recent Parish Fiesta has been very heartening. The community has agreed to make cleanliness and beautification of surroundings a continuing activity in the spirit of Bayanihan. Every Saturday, the church bells will be rung at 7:00 o'cloch in the morning to signal the start of activities. Everyone, please sustain the movement. Thank you for your support!

OSSUARY FACILITIES

     Construction on a portion of the basement of the SHJ Pastoral Center to make room for a small mortuary and a limited number of ossuary facilities for the convenience and exclusive use of SHJ parishioners is on-going. Reservations for the ossuary facilities may now be ectertained on a first come-first served basis. Please inquire at the PArish Office for more information.

TWO GREAT FEAST

     This coming week, we will remember three well-loved Saints of the Church, on their feast day.

June 24     Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, son of Sts. Elizabeth and Zechariah who was destined by God to "prepare the way of the Lord".

June 29     Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, apostles of St. Paul upon conversion spent the rest of his life preaching the Word of God in many Lands. To st. Peter, the leader of the twelve apstles, our Lord Jesus Chtist entrusted the keys of the Kindom of Heaven.

     While these two feasts are not holidays of obligation of the Church, the faithful are encouraged to give honor to the Saints by participating in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on their special days, and invoking their powerful intercession for your spiritual and material needs.
