Divine Invitation of the Sacred Heart

My warmest greetings to our Parishioners, visitors and devotees of the Sacred Heart on this happy occasion of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus!

As I celebrate this important event with you for the first time in my 10th month old ministry in this SHJ Parish, I am filled with profound gratitude to the Lord for enabling us to offer to His Most Sacred Heart today our Gift of Love - a dream unfolding into reality for our beloved Parish.

I refer, of course to our shared Vision of a rebuilt physical structure of His Church and a renewed and united Sacred Heart-centered Family of Disciples of Jesus. So, today, with praise, honor and thanksgiving, we offer the gift of our families consecrated to His Sacred Heart: loving and devoted hearts, together with a rebuilt Church building and Adoration Chapel, Parish Offices, and Pastoral Center.

I gratefully acknowledge the invaluable help - both material and spiritual - of our beloved Pastor, H.E. Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, H.E. Bp. Soc Villegas, H.E. Bp. Ted Bacani, H.E. Bp Jesse Mercado, Rev. Msgr. Ding Coronel, and countless generous benefactors from the laity, parishioners, devotees and Friends of the Sacred Heart.

Let me share relevant excerpts from an article on Devotion to the Sacred Heart(Opus Sanctoum Angelorum): "There is nothing more desirable nor anything more necessary to pilgrim souls than a deep love and union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Without Him we can do nothing" without Him we shall never come to the Father. With Him we can do all things. Now He is present and waiting for us in the Eucharist. The Sacred Heart is knocking at the door of our hearts. Will we open the door for Him? Will we make a commitment in devotion to serve Him with greater zeal and fidelity? Will we let Him in? The choice is now ours. Those who want to grow know where the Sacred Heart is waiting for the response of their love, and they know how to imitate His love in their daily lives.

The Blessings of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary be upon us All!
